TODAY WAS SO

on Sunday, August 24, 2008

Boring...I slept most of the day and spent the rest of the day at the laundromat. Fun right? Wrong...
I guess I'm moving to Canada next year. I can't live here. Not enough "opportunity", as I'd like to call it...So I'm off to Toronto! Hopefully the schools aren't all ghetto like on that movie "Substitute".
I thought that was a good action movie, especially for being put together in the 90's.
Well school is almost here, and I have to go buy some clothes and other miscellaneous school items, but mostly clothes...and a kilt....

Past and present.

My last post was about how I JUST got my permit and didn't have a car to drive. But I'm ready to talk about the rest of my life...
Last year December 7, 2007 (Pearl Harbor Day) my grandma died. She was 87.
This year April 26, my beloved dog Sara died.
Sorry if this is depressing, but those are the two events that had the most impact on my life.
On a lighter note. I went to San Fransisco with the high school band. We weren't that good...lol.
But I still had fun and so did the band.
I ended my freshman year with a 4.0 GPA and a very low self esteem. I'd tell you why but I'd have to know you more.
The first day of summer vacation came dully. I mean, it wasn't a big event when it started for me. My last day of school concluded with handing out waivers and gathering my belongings. There was no last day of school party, no waving goodbye to the teachers from the bus, there was just me. It was MY last day, everyone else had finals.
So my first day of summer started off playing pool with my friend who moved back from Maui. It was fun but that was I think the last day I seen him for the rest of the month.
I recall June being particularly uneventful, as I had nothing better to do but wail on and on about how my feelings got hurt, and how I wanted to leave Oakridge so badly. I eventually gave up on whining as we all know, whining only makes things worse, and I bought a car. This was not my intended idea. At first I wanted a motorcycle, but it is in my nature to want things now and since I had just received my provisional instruction permit, I did my research and bought a 1991 BMW 325i, which I would later name Blanca. The ad on craigslist said all it needed were the front struts replaced, however it didn't mention the broken steering lock, the missing ignition cylinder, the broken fog light, the broken glove box, the missing dome light, the missing keys, the cracked windshield, the oil leak, the gas leak, the broken muffler, the bad parking brake, the missing v-belt from the air conditioner, the air filter that hadn't been changed since 1994, or the million DENTS located on the various parts of the car. This, however didnt stop me from buying it for a meager 2g. So far I have fixed Many of the problems listed above and only spent 570.70!!! The next step would be to buy either a patch for the current muffler or a new one entirely.
ANYWAYS. Thats enough about Blanca.
My step-mom Jeannie, has a daughter who's dog had puppies 3 days before Sara died so 9 weeks later there was a new edition to the family. NIKI!!!! We had another dog named Paris before we got Niki but Paris was mean to Niki so we gave Paris back to Greenhill where she could be with someone who lived alone. But the reasoning for naming Niki Niki was so that there would be Paris Hilton and Nichole Richi, lol, cute eh? So that was wayyyyy back in June and now Niki is almost 4months old! She looks different everyday.
Last month I went to a lot of parties, they were...interesting to say the least. But I had fun. And now I'm ready to go back to real life, and pursue my dream of becoming a psychiatrist.
January 17 2009 is my 16th birthday. Sweet 16...more like Sour 16! I have to get a job and get my drivers license. Two things I almost look forward to. After I get my license I can get my motorcycle endorsement and I am really looking forward to that!!! Speaking of jobs and goals, I might actually start seeing a shrink. I think I'm going to need one this year. My schedule is intense, and no, not like camping intents!!!
That reminds me of the fourth of July, when I hung out with...Echo and the gang. Thats where I got that from.
Well a funny thing happened to me yesterday I found a waiver for my metal shop final. It scared me so bad...but a lok at my report card revealed that I was excused from the final exam so I guess everything worked out somehow...Or I just forgot what happened that dreadful Wednesday evening....
Found my car journal today too.
Anyways theres all the stuff that I can tell you.

Peace!

OMG Guess what?

on Tuesday, June 24, 2008

I got my instruction permit today!!! I'm so happy....But now what do I do? My dad won't let me drive because the cars that we have here are insured under my step moms name and they say no one under 25 can drive them...So this sucks for me...
I was saving my money for a motorcycle...and now I have to buy a car...
Just hoping that whatever I get can be resold for the same price that I bought it.............................
yeahhh.........

Yesterday was indeed my birthday, I enjoyed it and I recieved some new stuff. I will just mention for now I got the new CD by The Used, Lies for Liars. It's great grunge and rock music so check it out!
That sums it up for today I will check back in on Tuesday to tell you what else I got and some more gaming news!

Week Recap and other News

on Sunday, January 14, 2007

Once again this was the week of CES and many electronics were unveiled throughout the week. During Macworld, not held at CES, Apple debuted a speach involving the new Apple iPhone that was part phone, part MP3 player, and part computer type of gadget. Also Microsoft spilled some more info about their newest operating system, Windows VISTA. They also talked a little about the new Media Center type network for your TV.

I downloaded a creepy yet interesting game named F.E.A.R. And I also finally pre-ordered World of Warcraft : Burning Crusade which will be mailed to me on Thursday. YAY! Next week on Friday I will bring you in-depth info on that as I play!

Rumor: MadCatz Wii-Mote

A poster on the GameTrailers message board uploaded images of what he says is a Mad Catz Wii-mote. He writes, "I'm an employee of the Wal-Mart electronics department, just recently we got a shipment of Wii accessories from Mad Catz and on the back of one of the product boxes it shows off their version of the Wii remote. I took some pics with my camera phone to show you guys." You can see the uploaded images after the break.

This wouldn't be the first time a Mad Catz product accidentally leaked to the public without an announcement. There is no mention of this Wii-mote on Mad Catz's website or in press releases. We've gone ahead and contacted our Mad Catz rep to find out any information regarding existence, release date and price -- but it is Sunday of a long weekend in the U.S. (Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday). A contoured alternative to the Nintendo Wii-mote would be nice, especially if the internal speaker is less tinny. Also, at this point, we'd give anything to end this Wii-chuk and Wii-mote shortage, which still continues months after launch. We understand that getting a Wii is tough right now, but getting peripherals shouldn't be this difficult.

Story Source: Joystiq

My thoughts:

I actually think that MadCatz have decent hardware but a wii-mote? I don't know if they can pull it off. Yes it would be cool to have a better speaker in the controller but somehow they will mess it up. They will try to make it so it is ergonomic to your hand or something and make it so your playing with a freaking piece of crap. I am very skeptical about this subject but it obviously already in the making but how it will turn out it is the question. MadCatz needs to think of how we play games, then try to make that experience better for all.

Thats all for this week, and hope to see you on Monday!

Friday is here!

on Friday, January 12, 2007

Finally Friday is here and I can relax and play my new PC game I downloaded from Bittorrent. After 4 days of anticipation I finally installed the one and only F.E.A.R. I played it through the first three levels so far and have already seen a lot of blood and gore. The game has a damn creepy story... I have already almost peed my pants because of a simple yet horrific scare. The graphics are incredible and the enemy AI is...well completely perfect.

I was standing above a stairway running from a guy that was on the other side of a 3/4 way closed garage like door and he came running up the stairs to meet me. Another time I was barricading myself in a corner and one of the baddies told his squad to flank me! The enemy AI is extremely accurate. If you are looking for a in-your-face monster shooter
DO NOT get this game, this game creeps you out on a freaky psychotic level.

When I was watching the extra videos (which I found out that the version I downloaded was indeed the Directors Cut Special Edition) they said that after the game one guy went to the bathroom and saw a shadow in the mirror. That very bathroom hasn't been used since. lol
But enough of that because I have some amusing news taking place in the gaming world.

Run Athletics is releasing a pair of Nintendo sneakers that are quite a bit more attractive than the shoes that let you literally step into a NES. These kicks are pretty swanky, and even feature Nintendo characters on the sole, inside and out, giving 'em some real soul. The inner pattern on the outside of the shoe has a ton of invincibility stars, and check out that big Mario "M" on the shoe's tongue. Finally, you can pimp your feet out in some gaming gear that you won't be completely embarrassed to be seen in. We just wouldn't recommend wearing them in church, or on a first date. Unless you're dating a gamer, then by all means.

Damn.. School

Waking up on a snowy day is always rewarding but this morning our school decided to have us all be at school today. Oh, wow I am so happy the one day (Friday) you don't want school. It is only a mere 2 hour delay and that still means I have to "learn" today. That is not right. Just thought you needed to know.

iPhone

on Thursday, January 11, 2007

Apple has announced the new iPhone I'm not very excited because One: I don't have any Apple related hardware/software,Two: Although the iPhone is amazing with all its features it cost $500!!! Not to mention the touch screen will get scratched and smudged up-I know this because of my poor PSP. Even though I have my concerns about the phone, of course its going to be a big seller this year. Its shiny, sleek and new.

-Treize (Co. Editer)

Ok, I am back

The holidays are over and I am not going to go into exactly what I got but I will tell you I got a new computer and World of Warcraft. WoW is very fun and I can't believe how fast I have leveled. Also I scored Metal Gear Solid : Portable Ops and I have been playing online a lot lately. (MGPO Username: amorbis696)

Don't forget about the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) which just on Monday has revealed the new iPhone and iTV. Bill Gates also talked about Windows VISTA (the new Microsoft operating system)for a while on his keynote speach at the begining of CES. I will post some wrap-ups and opinions on CES tommorow too. I actually advise Treize to put down some opinions too.

One more thing... Yes, I did get my Wii and it RAWKSSS!!!

A Death In The Family

on Thursday, December 14, 2006

After a recent power outage I haven't been able to write but soon after I called my mom and she told me the news. She informed me that she had to put down one of my favorite cats, Chi-Chi. I will insert a photo here but don't get scared her eyes aren't really like that we just used paint to make her "evil kitty". Chi-Chi was a great cat but one of my step dad's friends played with her and didn't let her get the toy. Something that small can ruin a cats life and mind about being safe. Chi-Chi was always scared after that and literally changed as a cat (note: I wasn't around then so she was pretty old by the time she died). Over the years she tried to protect herself from people that tried to pet her and they usually ended up with scars and cuts after their actions. Soon she became older and older and arthritis was with her. She had a hard time jumping and moving and even just laying down was a job for her. Months went by and we discussed about putting her to sleep. Jay, my step-dad couldn't bare it because she had always been by his side with him while he built the roof over our heads" Sadly today my mom had to put her down, I will never have an object to dodge on the corner of the bed anymore...

Chi-Chi we will miss you...

In Memory of Chi-Chi

much love

Microsoft takes a swipe at Apple's "I'm a Mac" ads and other news

on Wednesday, December 13, 2006

Like you, we've seen a number of spoofs of the "I'm a Mac, and I'm a PC" ads. But most of them just make fun of the whole concept, rather than take on Apple, or a particular Apple product, directly. Well, Microsoft's just produced yet another rather clever parody pitting a Zune-toting PC with an iPod-carrying Mac, and apparently screened the ad at a recent company meeting. The sticking point is how "difficult" it is to get music onto the iPod versus how "simple" it is on the Zune. Not that we think the iPod is a paragon of usability, but we can't not bring up the fact that we'd love to see Microsoft live up to it claims and really make getting music as easy as pushing a single button.
Ha! very funny to see that. lets see if this works

New Zelda for Wii "deep in development," Phantom Hourglass delayed

on Monday, December 11, 2006

The new issue of Game Informer (#165) reportedly alleges that the next Wii installment of The Legend of Zelda has been "deep in development for around a year." Admittedly, this rumor comes as little surprise, since consistent first-party support is crucial for Wii's success.

We needn't remind you that Twilight Princess is a GameCube game with tacked on Wii functionality. While no doubt a key asset to the Wii launch, Twilight Princess is not a showcase for the new platform. Rest assured Nintendo has been working on 'that' particular Zelda entry since the moment the Wii concept was birthed. That's not to say we expect a true Wii Zelda before 2008. Remember, Metroid and Mario are holding it down in '07.

Game Informer also reports that Phantom Hourglass for DS as been delayed until October 2007; a full year after the Wind Waker sequel was initially expected. Sound familiar?

Don't worry I did not write this but it is interesting. I can't wait to get Twilight Princess but another! Wow, Nintendo you are really trying to get some cool games out there. But anyway though it's also sad though because October is a long wait for Phanton Hourglass.
Any way though, today I lived through the brain melting school and managed to make it through without learning things.jk. Also today on Ebay they are selling a bowling ball signed by Johnny Depp. Who the hell would want that?
To wrap it up I have to say to remember to check out my Blog on Wednesday for great coverage on the VGA's!
